Principal Software Engineer

HyTrust is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop HyTrust Appliance. HyTrust Appliance provides control and visibility for virtualized infrastructures. We are interested in self-starters who are highly motivated and can work in a fast-paced and collaborative development environment. The candidate must have a strong ability to understand requirements, design and architect in partnership with Product Managers, and development skills in cloud computing, distributed architectures, security, and building large scale, mission critical commercial infrastructure software.

    Responsibilities
  • Design/architect and development of infrastructure products for cloud/virtualized environment configuration automation, security and policy management.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Project Teams and QA to define the product and deliver releases on time with quality.
  • Design, develop and enhance product features for performance, scalability and robustness.
  • Mentor/lead project teams on all technical aspects, best practices, SDLC and industry innovations.

  • Research, advise and implement open-source solutions/improvements within our core products.
  • In collaboration with development and QA engineers, oversee security and platform code changes.

Quality Assurance

Senior Contractor QA Engineer

HyTrust is seeking a Senior Contractor QA Engineer to help us improve the quality and performance of our award-winning flagship product. HyTrust Appliance provides control and visibility for virtualized infrastructures. We are especially interested in people who have worked with the VMware's product family, including vCloud Suite, vSphere vCenter, SRM, Linked Mode, vCD, vCNS, etc.

This position will include validating product features and functionality, in collaboration with development engineers investigate and capture bug information, and verify fixes. Candidate must have extensive experience in installation, configuration and administration of VMware products, networking and complex directories.

    Responsibilities
  • Install and configure VMware products, networks/firewalls and directory.
  • Develop a deep understand of our product and typical usage.
  • Develop and document test plans and test cases for testing HyTrust Appliance with VMware products.
  • Execute tests and record results during release cycles.
  • Investigate and report defects in bug reports.
  • Work with development engineers to drive issues to resolution and closure.
  • Perform root cause analysis of problems and isolate testing issues.

    Skills and Experience Required
  • Minimum of 10 years of QA or mix of QA, IT, development experience.
  • Virtualization, security and networking experience.
  • Linux and Windows proficiency.

The Systems Engineer plays a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships while driving the adoption of HyTrust Appliance to surpass our revenue goals. The SE will work very closely with the sales team to build long-term customer relationships within their territory. This is a high-impact, highly visible role responsible for driving the demand and adoption of HTA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the HTA solution and how it integrates into a customer’s virtual infrastructure
  • Articulate HTA feature/functionality and provide demonstrations of HTA .
  • Qualify the prospect’s technical requirements and work with sales to build a compelling business case for HTA.
  • Create the conditions for prospects to complete a successful proof of concept (POC). This includes reaching consensus on criteria for a successful POC, helping prospects configure HTA in their environment, trouble-shooting issues and demonstrating HTA capabilities.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers
  • Must exhibit general management style of sale while running a coordinated campaign within all entities of HyTrust.
  • Assist marketing and product management in developing the market and collateral that will enable HyTrust to position and sell a solution that prospects will consume.

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of a proven track record in a related industry (networking, security and/or virtualization solutions) with at least 5-7 years of sales to Fortune 500 accounts
  • Ability to collaborate with and motivate different individuals towards accomplishing tasks
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Technical Account Manager

Technical Account Manager

Description:

As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will work with assigned clients and partners acting as the primary dedicated resource to HyTrust. This position will provide email, telephone, web and potentially onsite support to new and existing customers from design, deployment, integration, live testing, training and continuous support.

The ideal candidate must be familiar with a Tier 3 support model and understand how to manage strategic accounts. The TSE will utilize their exceptional communication and people skills to build solid relationships with each assigned customer and gain insight into their business requirements.

The TAMs goal is to resolve technical issues and provide timely resolutions to each reported incident. In addition, you will work with a very talented team that continually strives to learn, educate, and improve the customer experience. The candidate must be able to work without supervision, foster teamwork, be calm under pressure and have the technical aptitude to work in production VMware vSphere environments. In this role, you will lead the support team through the most difficult cases, reproduce the problem and work with the necessary quality assurance and engineering resources to provide a successful resolution while maintaining Service Level Agreements.

Successful TAMs are customer advocates who enjoy helping people, have excellent time management and prioritization skills, and are natural problem solvers.
This position is based at the HyTrust HQ office in Mountain View, CA and primarily provides remote support to customers worldwide during the hours of 6AM - 6PM PT.

  • Respond to customer inquiries, assuring timely status updates and issue resolution
